This year, we had the pleasure of sponsoring the "Top 10 Pitch Breakfast" held during Platform Calgary’s Innovation Week. It was an inspiring experience, surrounded by a remarkable group of innovative and curious thinkers who have the vision and drive to identify inefficiencies and create meaningful solutions. The energy in the room was electric, as each participant shared their perspective on how to make processes more effective and elevate our community’s overall success. 

Our decision to sponsor this event was driven by the alignment of our goals with those of Platform Calgary. Their mission to foster an innovative, supportive, and thriving environment in Calgary is one we hold close to our hearts. At Cumberland Private Wealth Calgary, we believe that building a better Calgary is about investing in people, ideas, and collaborative growth. Sponsoring the "Top 10 Pitch Breakfast" allowed us to contribute to an event that champions this vision, showcasing the talent and ambition that exists within our community. 

Throughout the morning, one of the key takeaways was that Calgary’s tech scene, though still in its early stages, is beginning to draw attention from tech communities around the world. It is a burgeoning space, full of potential and ready to make its mark. While the journey of a tech startup may not align perfectly with our own path, we understand the courage it takes to see a more efficient way of doing things—and to have the conviction to pursue that vision. Eleven years ago, CPWM Calgary made a similar leap, stepping away from the security of a major institution to pursue a more agile, client-focused approach. Today, with our award-winning Kipling Strategies and enhanced client experiences, we are proud of the journey that began with that bold decision. 

As we continue to support Calgary’s entrepreneurial spirit, we encourage everyone to take part in Innovation Week, which runs through November 21.
